The Loose Hub offers a range of Tune-up packages tailored to different bicycles as well as the demands of different cyclists

Tune-up Packages (TUPs)

Maximize your riding season by planning ahead. Call or email to book an appointment to minimize your downtime.

Completed on all Tune-up Packages

Inspect frame, fork, and wheels for visible damages
Check wheels for bends or fatigue, hand-check spoke tensions
Function check all rider's controlls (brakes, shifters, remotes, etc.)
Suspension components cycled, damper function checked
Assessment of high-wear components (drivetrain, tires, brake pads, grips, etc.)
Bearings checked for wear or major deflection (headset, hubs, BB, frame pivots, etc.)
Your Service Advisor will assist you in choosing the TUP or services your ride requires
Your Service Advisor may also make sugestions on products or services to improve the quality of your ride!
All walk-up TUPs booked prior to service will receive a 10% discount on that TUP

Any services completed with a TUP will receive a 20% discount on that service

“TUP1”

$85 + parts/shop supplies

Our kid’s bike, BMX, single-speed specific Tune-up package

Wipe-down, tires inflated to spec., and safety inspection

Chain tension and wheel alignment set

Brakes adjusted

Headset and controls adjusted

Bolt torque check, additional safety inspection, chain lubed, and test ride

“TUP2”

$120 + parts/shop supplies

Wipe-down, tires inflated to spec., and safety inspection

Wheels checked for damage, spoke tension, minor wheel ture, and hub bearing health

Derailleurs aligned, gears indexed, and limits set

Brake tension adjusted (mechanical systems), calipers and pads aligned

Headset and controls adjusted

Bolt torque check, additional safety inspection, chain lubed, and test ride

"TUP3"

$170 + parts/shop supplies

In addition to “TUP2”

New tires/tubes install*

Lateral wheel true

Hydraulic brake top-up (lever bleed)

Brake pads install

New shift or brake cable/housing install

Premium chain lube and bicycle polish

Cockpit and control set-up

"TUP4"

$240 + parts/shop supplies

In addition to "TUP3"

Full drivetrain deep-clean. Chain, cassette, crankset, and derailleurs removed, degreased, and re-installed to spec.

Full wheel true and tension check/set*

Bottom bracket service, adjustment, or install

Tubeless tire check-up, remove sealant clumps, new tape/sealant install

Frame pivot torque set

Full bicycle and wheelset detail and polish

*Additional charges may apply for specialty wheel systems (internal nipples, specialty lacing, etc.)

“TUP5"

$330 + parts/shop supplies

In addition to "TUP4"

Full hydraulic brake bleed

Dropper post cable/hose service

Headset overhaul or install

Spoke replacement (maximum 3/wheel)

New handlebar tape install

Hub bearing replacement/service, freehub service/install

Home Pick-up and Delivery

We understand that some people rely on their bicycles for transportation and require a pick-up, some of our clients enjoy the convenience of our curb-side service, and some just don’t have the time to make it to the shop. Whatever the reason, we would be happy to dispatch a Mobile Service Advisor to you. They will complete a Pre-TUP Inspection report, advise and quote the best services for you and your ride, and zip your bike or bikes away to our Mobile LBS parked nearby to be delivered back to you when complete.
We rotate our parking schedule based on demand in and around Calgary. Our HPD services are available daily from 9 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon (but are happy to accommodate) with most services completed within the day. In some cases we may need to order a part or send a component away for factory service; in that scenario we will complete the service and deliver it back to you as soon as the part or component arrives!

TLH can not be held responsible for damages sustained during rides or transport but, we’re riders too and we understand that $#!* happens sometimes whether you’re shredding the gnar or “Just riding along”. If you’ve hurt your bike just after we’ve serviced it, we’ll have you back and make it right as quickly and cost-effectively as possible!
